Mini-Symposium 35:Residual Stresses and Eigenstrains

railhead_eig

organised by Prof. Alexander M. Korsunsky (Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford)

Eigenstrains offer a versatile and reliable basis for modelling and understanding residual stresses across the scales. The symposium will provide a forum for practitioners engaged in the use of eigenstrain methods for residual stress analysis to exchange ideas, opinions and recent results in this field. Contributions are welcome on the applications of eigenstrain methods for the study of plastic deformation, phase transformation, thermal phenomena, welding and joining, additive manufacturing, heat treatment, composites and microstructures, time-dependent problems, etc.
